
This Exhibition really interests me;seems to be a 'let's get over the fussy image of embroidery' type of collection - overcoming stereotypes etc. Personlly I love textiles as an art form and have no preconceptions, but it seems many think doilies are the only way to go with this medium.
It's a bit far out, the PM gallery in Ealing, but I'm going to try to check it out as I work over that way. Will let you know what I think....

Beware of Embroidery is a new exhibition that features the work of five international contemporary artists who use embroidery as a medium to communicate their ideas and visions. Each artist will present a series of work, variously political, historical or social, created using both traditional and innovative methods and materials.
